Tim Maurer has been actively involved with U.S. Variety since 1996,
when Technicolor first came on as a major sponsor of Variety’s
Gold Heart Pin campaign. In the last ten years his involvement
and service to Variety and to children in need has grown substantially.
In 2000 he recruited DHL (formerly Airborne Express) to come
on as
a sponsor of the Gold Heart Pin campaign, providing shipping
services free of charge and saving U.S. Variety hundreds of thousands
of dollars.
Prior to serving as U.S. Variety's Executive Board chairman,
he held the position of president of the U.S. Variety Executive Committee
from 2003-2006, giving guidance, support, and leadership to the U.S.
Variety board and staff. In 2003 Mr. Maurer was awarded the
2003 Variety International Presidential Citation for his
meritorious service, and in 2004 he was invited to be an ambassador
to the International
board
Mr. Maurer joined Deluxe Digital Studios in March 2006 and is currently
the Senior Vice President of Administration. Prior to joining Deluxe he was with
Technicolor
for ten years and served as the President of Technicolor Cinema Distribution
Services. A graduate of UCLA’s prestigious Anderson Graduate School of
Management, he is a skilled President and Chief Operating Officer, with expertise
in customer service, business development, sales and operations, and finance.
His charitable and professional associations are numerous. He is a board member
of the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation and serves a member of
the Los Angeles chapter of the Young Presidents Association.
