Mr. Fenno has dedicated most of his free time to Variety and raising
funds for children in communities around the world. He is
currently the 1st vice president of the U.S. Variety board of directors
and has served on the International board for several decades. He also serves
as chairman of the U.S. Variety Radiothon committee. Mr. Fenno has expanded
Radiothon fundraising throughout the world of Variety and is responsible
for raising millions of dollars through this vehicle. If you
tune in to the radio around the world you are likely to hear
him making pledges for the children as he still actively
supports Variety Radiothons worldwide.
While working at Capital Cities Broadcasting in 1960, Mr. Fenno
joined Variety of Buffalo. He became the youngest Variety International
chief barker in history in 1964. Mr. Fenno relocated to Los Angeles
in 1969 and stayed with Capital Cities until 1985, when he became
general sales manager of KZLA/KLAC Radio.
In 1994, he founded Travel Related Marketing (TRM), where he
still serves as partner and vice president. TRM serves to expand
the opportunities for travel marketers to showcase their products
by creating new and innovative ways to communicate their message through
the broadcast media, as well as create meaningful added value
on cable and broadcast television for the travel industry with themed
environments, news features, advertorials, promotions and Web sites.
