Variety - The Children's Charity is honored that the following companies
have joined us in support
of children in need. Every day these companies show that
together, we can make a difference.
Over the last decade, KODAK has been working together with Variety
on our International Gold Hearts campaign. Their donation
of raw film stock allows the US and Canadian offices
of Variety to print and display
trailers in theaters throughout North America. This increased
awareness of Variety and the Gold Heart pins drives sales
and leads to additional
support for children worldwide.
US Variety's partnership with TECHNICOLOR FILM SEVICES has spanned
the last decade. Their support through board membership
and by providing in kind gifts has supported the expansion
and strength of Variety -
The Children's Charity. Their generous donation of storage
and fulfillment for the Gold Heart pins has saved Variety
hundreds of thousands of dollars.
But the value of their support goes beyond just monetary
savings - the continuing involvement of Technicolor employees
and management has been
invaluable to local chapters of Variety throughout North
America.
Variety is proud to report that DHL is the most recent corporate partner
to join the Gold Heart campaign. Since 2000 DHL (previously Airborne)
management and employees have generously donated their time and resources
to the shipping of millions of Gold Heart pins to theaters, retailers
and local chapters nationwide - saving Variety hundreds of thousands
of dollars.
Variety
is partnering with the FRED ASTAIRE DANCE STUDIOS
to raise awareness, as well as dollars, for Variety’s National
Mobility Program. Through the creation of a special
edition Top Hat pin available for purchase at Fred Astaire
Dance Studios and at their national dance events, local
area children with mobility challenges will receive
the wheelchairs, walkers, and
prosthetic limbs they so desperately need.

Dolby provides the prizing that theatre managers and
associates are awarded for their heard work in support of the Gold Hearts
campaign.

National Mobility Program will provide
much needed assistance
to children with mobility
concerns. Over the years, we have found
that these children desperately want
to be active members of their communities.
But they need what most
of us take for granted: access. For children
with disabilities, this means having
the freedom to go where they want to,
either on their own, or if they need
assistance, reducing the impact they make on those helping
them. With the advent of many new mobility
technologies, this access
is becoming available to more and more
children. The goal of our Mobility Program
is to see that they get it.
